Y Combinator Open-Sources QM, Its Internal Multi-Agent Framework
garrytan · x · 2026-08-01
Y Combinator (YC) has announced the open-source release of QM, a multi-agent harness used internally. Licensed under MIT, the cloud-first framework features native Slack and Web UI integrations, designed to be easily customizable for company-wide use.
YC currently deploys QM across various departments including accounting, legal, events, and engineering (even using it to build QM itself). Furthermore, YC has cultivated a unique agent culture: employee agent sessions are broadcast internally as shared learning material. This model of treating organizational agent history as an educational resource is expected to be adopted by more companies.
