YC Open-Sources QM: A Robust Multi-Agent Harness for Enterprise
garrytan · x · 2026-08-01
Y Combinator has officially open-sourced QM, its internal multi-agent harness, under the MIT license. Already battle-tested across YC's accounting, legal, events, and engineering teams, QM is cloud-first and comes with native Slack and Web UI integrations.
Designed to overcome the unreliability and heavy RAM requirements of existing tools like OpenClaw, QM features a cleanly architected execution backbone. Instead of a single monolithic process with in-memory scheduling, it utilizes a durable job queue and worker pool that scales horizontally across machines. Built on YC's experience of running tens of thousands of agent threads daily, it marks a major public release of an enterprise-grade agent harness.
