OpenAI is developing a new model family named Astra, according to The Decoder. The system allows multiple AI agents to collaborate on complex problems that could take hours or even days to solve.
CEO Sam Altman has reportedly demoed Astra to policymakers in Washington. OpenAI has not yet decided whether to release it as GPT-6 or a new variant of GPT-5.
