OpenAI Exec: Workers Reject AI Delegation, Crave Human Connection

Greg Brockman noted that many OpenAI employees hook ChatGPT up to Slack. However, people dislike it when a coworker's AI contacts them asking for help with a task, even if they would happily do it for the human coworker.

This highlights that people deeply value human relationships and want AI to give time back or enhance time together, rather than acting as an impersonal proxy. A developer replying to the thread added that while AI-generated GitHub readmes were initially annoying, acceptance grows over time.
