Developer RE:Skob demonstrated the incredible speed of AI-assisted coding by porting an unfinished Roblox taxi game into a 3D multiplayer web game using ThreeJS in just 4 days.
- Development Process: The project's first commit was initiated by Claude 3.5 Sonnet. Starting without any pre-existing models, textures, or maps, the AI built the core game loop, cab, road, and traffic controller.
- Current State: The game is now playable in multiplayer. Players can drive around and pick up fares in a mini version of New York (New Apple City) featuring 3 boroughs and 140 landmarks.
- User Experience: While there are some weird geometries and broken roads, the game is remarkably solid considering it was built in less than a week.
