Report: OpenAI Preparing 'Astra' Model Family for Multi-Agent Long-Horizon Tasks
ZeroStateReflex · x · 2026-08-01
OpenAI is reportedly preparing to release a new model family tentatively named Astra. Positioned alongside Sol, Terra, and Luna, the new class of models is touted for its ability to coordinate multiple agents over long periods to solve particularly hard problems.
Researchers speculate that Astra is almost certainly the model that previously solved the Erdős problem, which OpenAI highlighted in its recent safety report on long-horizon models.
