A developer shared an explosive growth trajectory using AI coding tools: prior to 2026, they had a total of 2 GitHub contributions. However, since starting "vibe coding" with Codex in February, that number has skyrocketed to over 3,000.
They noted that while most projects are still works in progress, the key is building, experimenting, and iterating daily with AI assistance. They have now entered the "10 billion tokens per month" club (cached included) and expect to surpass 20 billion cumulatively soon.
