Exclusive: OpenAI Preps 'Astra' Model Family for Multi-Agent Long-Running Tasks

OpenAI is reportedly developing a new model family named Astra, designed for long-running tasks. Sam Altman recently demoed it in DC, showcasing multiple agents collaborating on complex projects and advanced math.
It may launch as GPT-6 or GPT-5.7. Astra joins a rumored roadmap of new model classes including Sol, Terra, and Luna.
