AI writing detection: infini-gram shows where phrases appear in existing sources

Ai2's infini-gram engine indexes massive public text datasets and counts phrase frequencies. Unlike traditional detectors that return a likelihood score, it can show which expressions appear in existing sources and where. Tuhin Chakrabarty's group uses it to analyze AI-generated prose.
