AI-written Amazon books contain more rare phrases: 41.6% vs 37.2% in top sellers

Using Ai2's infini-gram engine, analysis shows that among the top 200 self-published Amazon books with substantial detected AI text, rare phrases make up 41.6% of the text, compared to 37.2% in those without. In award-winning or nominated books, rare phrases make up 19.1%. The study by Tuhin Chakrabarty's group at Stony Brook aims to identify distinctive language in AI-generated text.
