An internet user spotted a bizarre OpenReview profile of an independent researcher. The individual, formerly an IAS postdoc with around 15k citations, submitted a staggering 54 papers to ICLR this year, with only 2 accepted.
This abnormal mass submission behavior has sparked concerns and speculation about potential paper mill involvement or the exploitation of the peer review system.
