Y Combinator Open-Sources QM, Its Internal Multi-Agent Framework
garrytan · x · 2026-08-01
Y Combinator (YC) has officially open-sourced QM, a multi-agent harness used internally. Licensed under MIT, the project is cloud-first and natively supports Slack and Web UI.
Designed to be easily customizable (similar to Hermes or OpenClaw), QM serves as a "company brain" and coworker. YC currently deploys the framework across various departments, including accounting, legal, events, and engineering (even using it to build QM itself). YC President Garry Tan endorsed the project, highlighting its productivity benefits.
