Vercel AI Gateway Adds Team and Project Spend Budgets

Vercel announces that its AI Gateway now supports spend budgets scoped to teams and projects, alongside existing API key limits. Developers can set specific dollar caps for different scopes.
The gateway meters requests against these budgets and automatically rejects further requests once a limit is reached until it resets or is increased. The dashboard provides an overview of budget health across all scopes and includes email alerts for when usage crosses 50%, 75%, and 100% of the limit, helping teams manage AI inference costs effectively.
