EU AI Act Takes Effect: Mandatory AI Labeling, Fines Up to 3% of Global Turnover

The EU's AI Act becomes enforceable this Sunday. The new rules require chatbots to inform users they aren't human, mandate labels for deepfakes, and require all AI outputs to carry machine-readable marks. Europe can fine up to €15M or 3% of global turnover for violations. Commenters suggest it might be better to label exclusively human content instead.
