Tesla has signed three major long-term solar power-purchase agreements (PPAs) in the U.S., totaling approximately 469 MWac. Once fully operational, the projects are expected to supply around 1.2 TWh of electricity annually, with the first project coming online in the first half of 2027.

As manufacturing, battery production, and AI compute continue to scale, securing long-term access to enormous amounts of electricity becomes just as critical as building the factories themselves. By locking in power years in advance, Tesla is proactively preparing for the massive energy demands of future AI workloads.
