Cisco AI Launches Antares Quickstart Guide for 15-Minute Code Vulnerability Localization

aminkarbasi · x · 2026-08-01

Cisco AI has released a practical quickstart guide for Antares, its AI-powered search engine for code vulnerability localization. The tutorial walks users through setting up the CLI, pointing it at a code repository, and running a focused security investigation.

The Antares model collection (featuring 350M and 1B variants) performs file-level vulnerability localization, displaying candidate files along with their associated CWE (Common Weakness Enumeration) IDs. Users can export the investigation results into JSON, Markdown, or SARIF reports for further review and integration. According to the team, the entire quickstart process takes about 10 to 15 minutes once the inference endpoint is ready.
