ChatGPT Plus Users Report Codex Quota Bug: Weekly Limit Exhausted in 24 Hours
abdoulbaribenhima · ghdev · 2026-08-01
A ChatGPT Plus user reported on GitHub that their entire weekly Codex allowance was exhausted in less than 24 hours under normal coding workloads.
The user noted that colleagues working on larger projects did not experience this rapid depletion. Furthermore, the ChatGPT usage page lacks a detailed breakdown, making it impossible to inspect which tasks consumed the quota. This has raised concerns about potential accounting bugs in Codex billing.
