Local Open-Source LLMs Now Match Frontier Performance from 2 Months Ago

A user pointed out that locally run open-source AI models have essentially reached the performance level of frontier closed models from just two months ago.
However, they added the caveat that this still requires a beefy server and cannot yet run on a standard laptop. They exclaimed, "We’re already in the intelligence singularity."
