With an 80% price reduction, GPT-5.6 Luna offers significantly better cost-performance in coding tasks. Tested in Datasette Agent, the model generates SQL, HTML, and JavaScript rapidly. On the DeepSWE benchmark, it achieves the same score as the previous frontier model from three weeks ago but at roughly $0.12 per task instead of $7.23—slashing costs by about 60x.
