GaryMarcus · x · 2026-08-01
Gary Marcus reshared a report from Nikkei Asia announcing that DeepSeek has released the beta version of its V4 models. He noted that the AI price wars he has been predicting since August 2023 are now in full swing.
Previously, investor Michael Burry highlighted that OpenAI is drastically cutting prices to prepare for this intensifying competition. As major providers continuously lower their API costs, the expense of AI inference is dropping sharply.
