Amazon Earnings: AWS Revenue Accelerates as AI Demand Remains Early

Amazon's CEO stated that we are still in the early stages of AI demand. AWS achieved its fifth consecutive quarter of accelerating growth, bringing in $42.2 billion in revenue (+37% YoY).
Furthermore, AWS has built a massive $496 billion backlog, with capacity largely reserved for 2027, significantly derisking their capital expenditures. On the hardware front, the two leading AI labs are currently training on their custom Trainium chips.
