According to The Decoder, DeepSeek's budget model V4 Flash has received a major performance boost with its "0731" update. The model jumped 10 points to a score of 50 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, placing it just one point behind OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Luna, while costing roughly 60 percent less per task.
