ykdojo · x · 2026-08-01
Developer ykdojo outlined a maturity model for code review in the era of AI-assisted programming, categorized into 5 levels:
- Level 0: No review. Pure vibes.
- Level 1: Skimming. Only looking at the general structure.
- Level 2: Skimming plus checking the behavior carefully.
- Level 3: Thorough tests. A well-documented process of how everything was tested.
- Level 4: Traditional review. All of the above plus interrogating the AI about different parts of the code and checking the commit history.
