Google recently fixed 1,442 security vulnerabilities across three Chrome releases, surpassing the total of the previous 23 versions combined. The article notes that Large Language Models (LLMs) have significantly accelerated the vulnerability discovery process, leading to a surge in new bug reports that challenges enterprise patching speeds.
For instance, a critical Chrome sandbox escape flaw (CVE-2026-3545) that had existed for 13 years was discovered in March via an agent harness using Gemini models. To counter AI-powered cyberattacks, Google is now testing twice-weekly security updates for Chrome.
