Over 40% Long Posts AI-Generated, LinkedIn Adds 'AI Slop' Block Button

Due to a surge of low-quality AI-generated content, LinkedIn has been forced to add a "seems like AI slop" button in the options menu of posts, allowing users to instantly hide them from their feeds.

LinkedIn's product chief has essentially admitted to the platform's problem. Data from Pangram indicates that over 40% of long posts on LinkedIn are now fully written by AI. Ironically, LinkedIn still operates its own AI writing tool designed to help users sound "professional," effectively building both the slop machine and the slop detector simultaneously.
