Agent task cost benchmark data released by Composio reveals that Hermes Agent and Pi Agent lead in average cost efficiency at $0.39 and $0.40 respectively. In contrast, Claude Code costs $1.47 on average, making it about 3.7 times more expensive.
The median cost tells the same story ($0.29 for Pi Agent and Hermes vs. $0.72 for Claude Code), indicating the cost gap holds for typical tasks and is not skewed by a few expensive runs. These costs were calculated using Kimi K3’s list prices.
