A developer evaluated the agent capabilities of DeepSeek-V4-Flash on a 3D/visual task (voxel pagoda garden) within Codex CLI. The 248B model performed well.
The run took about 10 minutes and cost just $0.07 thanks to efficient token usage and cache utilization. The author is now experimenting with the max reasoning level (low, high, max).
