Nscale to Acquire Anyscale for $1.65B, Unifying AI Compute and Software Stack
shashib · x · 2026-07-31
European AI cloud provider Nscale has agreed to acquire Anyscale, the commercial company behind the open-source Ray framework, for approximately $1.65 billion (reported by Bloomberg).
The acquisition comes just three weeks after Nscale secured a $900 million revolving credit facility syndicated by major banks including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Nscale focuses on GPU capacity and data centers, while Anyscale provides the critical software layer that distributes computing jobs across these hardware clusters.
By combining forces, Nscale aims to build a full-stack AI cloud platform. Anyscale will continue to operate independently post-acquisition, maintaining flexibility for its customers' infrastructure choices.
