Open Source Glanceboard: Turn Calendars into E-ink Art with Gemini
osanseviero · x · 2026-07-31
The Google team open-sourced the Glanceboard project, demonstrating how to use the Gemini 3.6 Flash and Nano Banana models to transform Google Calendar events into artistic illustrations on an e-ink display.
The project reads the user's calendar schedule and local weather information to automatically construct prompts and generate custom family character art. Users only need a computer and an iCal feed to deploy the system.
