Major MCP Update: Shifts to Stateless Architecture for Enterprise Scalability

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) has announced its biggest architectural change since launch: a complete shift to a stateless design.
- Architecture Upgrade: The new spec removes the initialize handshake and Mcp-Session-Id header. Every request carries its own protocol version and capabilities, allowing any server to handle any request, enabling horizontal scalability.
- Enterprise Features: Introduces a formal deprecation policy (guaranteeing 12 months between deprecation and removal), hardens authorization with RFC 9207 issuer validation, and builds in header-based routing and OpenTelemetry trace context.
- Industry Support: Major tech giants including OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are now contributing, and the project is hosted under the Linux Foundation.
