Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former Google executive Vik Bajaj founded industrial AI startup Prometheus late last year. The company aims to build an 'Artificial General Engineer' (AGE) by constructing world models that understand physical laws and engineering constraints. This technology intends to deeply participate in complex product design and simulation optimization, potentially shortening R&D cycles by more than tenfold.
In just six months, Prometheus has raised a cumulative $18.2 billion, achieving a staggering $41 billion valuation. Furthermore, Bezos is planning a long-term fund of up to $100 billion to invest in and acquire manufacturing enterprises, fully positioning for the intelligent transformation of the physical world.
