A Reddit user recently asked if something had changed on ChatGPT's backend. Over the past week, they noticed a distinct drop in quality: model responses have become shorter, less detailed, and noticeably drier in tone.
The user also pointed out that ChatGPT no longer proactively conducts outside research as it used to. Believing that a definite backend tweak has occurred, they turned to the community to see if others experienced the same shift.
