newyorkuniversity · hf · 2026-07-31
NYU introduces AskChem, a claim-centered infrastructure for cross-paper chemistry search. It converts papers into atomic, typed claims with provenance (DOI and verbatim quote). AskChem offers faceted taxonomy, evidence graph, and living taxonomy for retrieval. It indexes 2.4M claims from 147K papers and provides web, REST, SDK, and MCP interfaces. On AskChem-Bench, grounding GPT-5.5 with AskChem achieves 100% resolvable DOIs vs 88.3% without, and highest citation density.
