Claude Opus Autonomously Builds 3D Medieval Town, Acting Like an Indie Game Studio
anselm · x · 2026-07-31
Using only a surprisingly rough prompt, a developer directed Claude Opus to autonomously generate an entire medieval castle town.
Built entirely with Three.js, the project features streets, a church, a castle, procedurally generated textures, time-of-day changes, and a full exploration mode.
Most impressively, the model demonstrated autonomous iteration: it captured screenshots during development, used the visual feedback to improve the scene, and kept refining until the world was complete. The creator noted that this feels less like standard "AI coding" and more like an early game studio running entirely inside the model.
