Game Dev Rants: Anti-AI Hysteria is Falsely Accusing Human Artists
draginol · x · 2026-07-31
A game developer expressed strong frustration with the extreme "anti-AI" sentiment currently prevalent in the gaming and art communities.
He noted that because many games from the last 15 years feature art styles that AI models were trained on, human-made game art is now frequently and falsely accused of being AI-generated. This crying wolf is not only exhausting but also demoralizing for human art teams who spend countless hours creating concepts and images, only to be retroactively accused of using AI.
