Inkling-Small (12B Parameters) Ranks Alongside 2-3x Larger Open Models

Inkling-Small by Thinky Machines has debuted on the Text Arena leaderboard. Despite having only 12B active parameters, it performs comparably to open-source models requiring 2-3x its active compute.
It currently sits at rank #88 overall (1431 points) and #21 among open models, making it the second strongest US open-weights model, trailing only Google. This marks a significant advancement for highly efficient open-source models.
