Paper: LLMs Structurally Incapable of Abductive Reasoning 'Jumps'

Luiza Jarovsky recommended an interesting paper by Tom Zaharay. The paper argues that while modern LLMs can plausibly execute the deductive phase of reasoning from established premises, they are structurally incapable of the abductive 'Jump' required to formulate those premises in the first place.
