Infisical Launches Agent Proxy: Preventing AI Secret Leaks with Fake Keys
darian314 · x · 2026-07-31
Infisical has launched Agent Proxy, a new tool designed to mitigate secret leakage risks when deploying AI agents.
The core mechanism involves issuing a fake API key to the agent instead of the real credential. When the agent makes an outbound network request, the proxy intercepts it at the network boundary, swaps the fake key for the real one, and forwards it to the destination.
This transparent man-in-the-middle approach ensures that the agent never actually sees or stores the real secret, significantly enhancing security for AI workflows.
