KOL Predicts AGI by 2027-28, Citing Recursive Self-Improvement
haider1 · x · 2026-07-31
Prominent AI voice Haider shared his updated timeline predictions for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
He points out a core logic that the public may not fully grasp: improved models will inherently be more capable of self-improvement. Based on this recursive enhancement, he has pulled forward his AGI timeline. Previously expecting it in the 2030s, he now argues that if AGI is not achieved by 2027–2028, it would indicate that the industry has hit severe roadblocks, such as energy bottlenecks, policy failures, or other unforeseen factors.
