Report: DeepSeek Building 1GW Data Center in Inner Mongolia, Raised $7B

DeepSeek is reportedly planning a 1 GW data center in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia. Located 350km from Beijing with an average temperature of 4°C, the climate provides natural cooling for servers. Some capacity is expected to go live by late 2027.
Reports also claim DeepSeek raised $7B at a $50B valuation and is prepping for an IPO, potentially filing this year.
