Google Earth on the web recently launched an image generation feature powered by Nano Banana 2, allowing users to generate photorealistic images on real satellite maps via text prompts.
Tests reveal that users can easily fabricate sensitive scenarios like refugee camps or nuclear plants with a single sentence. Because these forged images seamlessly integrate with genuine coordinates and lighting, they inherit the credibility of the map, raising severe misinformation and security concerns.
