Circle and XPRIZE Launch $50K Agentic Economy Prize for Autonomous AI Payments

Circle, in partnership with XPRIZE, has launched the $50K Agentic Economy Prize for startups demonstrating AI agents autonomously making and receiving payments within real businesses.
While AI agents can already reason and execute tasks, human intervention is still required for payments. This initiative targets that exact gap, exploring autonomous transaction loops for agent-to-agent and agent-to-service payments without human involvement.
