Mira Murati's Startup Launches Inkling Small Model

Thinking Machines, the AI lab founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, has released its second model, Inkling Small.
The model is an open-weights reasoning model with 276B total parameters (12B active MoE architecture). It supports text, image, and speech input with a 256K context window. Scoring 40 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, it lands within a point of its flagship sibling Inkling (41), while utilizing less than a third of the total and active parameters, demonstrating exceptional parameter efficiency.
