Google DeepMind Launches Gemini Robotics 2 for Whole-Body Control and Collaboration

Google DeepMind has introduced Gemini Robotics 2, an intelligence layer designed to power the next generation of adaptable robots.
The release introduces three major capabilities:
- Whole-body intelligence: Enables humanoids to reason through movements, allowing them to walk, crouch, stretch, and manipulate objects to complete tasks like cleaning a room.
- Multi-robot collaboration: Allows multiple robots to team up and finish jobs faster.
- On-device adaptation: The profound intelligence can run locally while seamlessly adapting to entirely new robotic bodies in just a few hours.
DeepMind also launched accompanying Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models to further advance embodied AI.
