During its 2Q26 earnings call, Samsung revealed that the proliferation of agentic AI is significantly increasing demand for server SSDs across various segments, including AI servers, general-purpose computing servers, and dedicated KV-cache storage.
Driven by server SSDs, NAND is transforming into a higher-value-added business, contributing substantially to the improvement in Samsung's Memory Business earnings for the quarter. The company is also enhancing long-term business visibility through multi-year agreements with major customers.
