OpenAI Slashes GPT-5.6 Luna Prices by 80%, Adds 2.5x Fast Mode

OpenAI announced significant API price reductions: 80% off for GPT-5.6 Luna and 20% off for GPT-5.6 Terra. Additionally, a new Fast mode for GPT-5.6 Sol in the API delivers up to 2.5x the speed of Standard processing at 2x the price, with no change in intelligence.
These lower prices are also reflected in how usage is counted in Codex and ChatGPT Work, extending the effective usage quota for users. Existing API requests tagged priority will continue to function.
