depthfirst Launches dfs-large1, a Cybersecurity Model Built on GLM-5.2

andreamichi · x · 2026-07-31

Cybersecurity firm depthfirst has announced dfs-large1, its latest specialized security model. Built on top of Zhipu's GLM-5.2, the model was post-trained inside depthfirst’s security agent harness using their RL stack, with compute powered by Fireworks AI.

The company reported consistent performance gains on long-horizon tasks involving repository-level context, tool use, and executable verification, with no signs of plateauing. On their internal benchmark, depthfirst-bench, dfs-large1 achieves best-in-class performance in vulnerability discovery and validation, outperforming general-purpose models like GPT-5.6 and Claude Opus, establishing a new Pareto frontier for production workloads.
