Google DeepMind Launches Gemini Robotics 2 for Whole-Body Control and Multi-Robot Collaboration
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-07-31
Google DeepMind introduced Gemini Robotics 2, an advanced vision-language-action (VLA) model designed to power the next generation of adaptable robots with whole-body control, dexterity, and teamwork.
- Whole-Body Intelligence: Moving beyond pre-programmed tasks, the model enables robots to reason through movements, allowing a humanoid to autonomously walk, crouch, and manipulate objects to clean a room.
- Multi-Robot Collaboration: Different robots can now communicate, plan together, and tackle complex workflows as a team (e.g., one picks items, another assembles, a third checks quality) with real-time coordination.
- On-Device & Adaptability: The intelligence runs locally on-device and can seamlessly adapt to entirely new robotic bodies in just a few hours.
