According to Bloomberg, the $20 billion leveraged hedge fund managed by Leopold Aschenbrenner suffered losses during the recent AI stock selloff. The fund is now approaching existing investors and lenders for fresh capital and offering portfolio assets for sale.
Despite the recent downturn, the fund was still up an impressive 439% net YTD through June. In a July 24 investor letter, Aschenbrenner stated that the selloff has created some of the best investment opportunities since early 2025, suggesting it is a particularly good time to add funds.
