OpenOats: Fully Local Mac App for Real-Time Call Transcription and Cue Prompts
AravSrinivas · x · 2026-07-31
OpenOats is an open-source tool with 2.5k stars on GitHub. It runs 100% locally on Mac, transcribing both sides of a call in real-time.
The core highlight of the tool is its ability to instantly search a user's personal notes to surface relevant talking points right when needed during a conversation. Because it operates entirely offline, it not only protects privacy but its app window is also hidden from screen sharing by default, making it an invisible assistant.
